I am a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon specialising in the treatment of upper limb conditions, including the shoulder, elbow, hand, and wrist. I practice in Lincolnshire, primarily at United Lincolnshire Hospitals NHS Trust. My areas of expertise include shoulder arthroscopy for rotator cuff injuries and instability, shoulder replacements, treatment of tennis elbow and complex elbow trauma, wrist arthroscopy, and surgery for conditions such as Dupuytren’s contracture, peripheral nerve compression, and osteoarthritis of the thumb, fingers, and wrist.
After completing my basic medical degree in India, I moved to the UK for advanced specialist training. I completed my orthopaedic training in South Wales, followed by fellowships under esteemed surgeons at Northern General Hospital in Sheffield, Arrowe Park Hospital in Wirral, Wrightington Hospital in Wigan, and the Royal Orthopaedic Hospital in Birmingham. These experiences allowed me to refine my skills in upper limb surgery.
In addition to my clinical work, I am deeply involved in medical education. As a College Tutor and Specialty Education Lead for Orthopaedics at Pilgrim Hospital, I enjoy mentoring undergraduate and postgraduate trainees, sharing knowledge, and fostering the next generation of orthopaedic specialists. My dedication to both patient care and education drives me to continually enhance the quality of services I provide, ensuring that each patient receives individualised and effective treatment for their upper limb disorders.
