Accessibility Statement

Our commitment to making hshealthgroup.co.uk, our booking channels, and our clinics accessible and easy to use for everyone.

Our commitment

HS Health Group Limited is committed to ensuring our website and services are accessible to everyone, including people with visual, auditory, motor, or cognitive disabilities, and people using assistive technology. We are guided by the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA and our duty under the Equality Act 2010 to make reasonable adjustments for disabled patients and visitors.

  • WCAG 2.1 AA target
  • Equality Act 2010 reasonable adjustments
  • CQC registered provider.

Scope of this statement

This statement applies to hshealthgroup.co.uk, including our service pages, online booking enquiry form, contact and feedback forms, and downloadable resources. It does not cover third-party content we link to (for example, our diagnostic or insurance partners’ own websites), or the M365/portal tools used internally by our staff.

Compliance status

This website is partially conformant with WCAG 2.1 Level AA. “Partially conformant” means that some parts of the content do not yet fully conform to the standard, as set out in Section 5 below. We are actively working to identify and resolve these issues as part of our ongoing website development.

Accessibility measures we’ve taken

  • Using semantic HTML structure (headings, landmarks, and lists) so screen readers can navigate content logically;
  • Maintaining colour contrast ratios of at least 4.5:1 for body text against its background across our brand colour palette;
  • Providing a “Skip to content” link so keyboard users can bypass repeated navigation;
  • Ensuring interactive elements (forms, buttons, links) are reachable and operable by keyboard, with a visible focus indicator;
  • Using descriptive link text and image alt text where content is informative rather than purely decorative;
  • Designing forms with clear labels and error messages to support users completing bookings and enquiries.

Known limitations

Despite our efforts, some content may not yet be fully accessible. Known limitations currently include:

  • Some downloadable documents (for example, our complaint form) are provided as Word (.docx) files rather than accessible HTML or tagged PDF;
  • Some embedded third-party content (such as Google Maps location embeds and reCAPTCHA) is subject to the accessibility standards of the third-party provider rather than our own;
  • Older blog and resource pages may not yet have been reviewed against the latest WCAG 2.1 AA checklist.

We are prioritising these issues as part of our ongoing website improvement programme.

Accessibility at our clinics

If you have a mobility, sensory, or communication need when attending one of our clinic locations, please let our team know when booking so we can make appropriate arrangements, for example step-free access information, ground-floor room allocation where available, or additional appointment time.

Alternative formats & reasonable adjustments

If you need information from us in a different format, such as large print, easy read, audio, or braille, or need support communicating with us (for example via an interpreter or a specific communication method), please contact us using the details below and we will do our best to accommodate your request.

Feedback & reporting a problem

We welcome your feedback on the accessibility of our website and services. If you find a barrier that stops you accessing our content, or need information in an alternative format, please contact us:

Technical information

This website is built on WordPress with the Elementor page builder. We test accessibility using a combination of manual keyboard navigation, screen reader spot-checks, and automated contrast/structure checks against WCAG 2.1 AA success criteria.
