Corticosteroid Injections
Corticosteroid injections are used for management for different musculoskeletal conditions that need an additional pain relief intervention to allow you to comply with physiotherapy and exercise-based interventions. Our experienced team of musculoskeletal practitioners who are trained through masters level qualification to administer corticosteroid injections will discuss the indication of injection for your condition and help you make an informed shared decision if you were to choose injection as a part of your treatment plan.

Keeping you informed
This treatment intervention isn’t without its potential risks or damage to the injected soft tissue structure particularly with repeated injection. However, this is kept to the minimum by means of completing a robust assessment of your condition, symptoms, past medical history, medication history and other causative factors that limits us from its use. Injection is administered following the national clinical guidelines and backed by evidence with your consent to procedure after determining its absolute need for you. All risks and benefits will be discussed during the appointment session. Therapist’s experience of landmarks and addition of ultrasound imaging where required to guide the injection will further assure reduced risk of procedure.
